AN INVESTIGATION is under way after a home partially collapsed in Hartlebury.
Fire chiefs were called to the house on Waresley Court Road last Sunday.
Platform Housing Group has since confirmed that the building in question was one of its homes.
A crew from Droitwich was called to the incident at 8.50pm on July 12 and remained there for around two hours.
A do-not-cross cordon was placed around the property.
Images taken at the site suggest that the upper right-hand wall of the building has collapsed with many bricks dislodged.
And there was significant damage to the roof of a one-storey extension.
It is currently unknown exactly what caused the collapse.
A Platform surveyor has attended and a structural engineer is set to carry out a full assessment to ascertain exactly what happened.
Marion Duffy, Platform’s chief operations officer, said: “Our priority is the safety and wellbeing of our customer.
“We responded immediately and have been working with our teams and the emergency services to assess the situation and ensure the property is safe.
“Our insurers have also been notified.
“Once it is confirmed the site is safe to access, we will begin the necessary clearance and any further remedial works.
“We will continue to support our customer throughout and work closely with all relevant agencies as the investigation progresses.”
