Kidderminster office to flats plan halted

PLANS to turn office space in Kidderminster into 20 flats have been withdrawn.

The application, by Droitwich Housing Ltd, was submitted back in April and outlined plans to transform property numbers 17 to 25 on Vicar Street into apartments.

However, a notice on Wyre Forest District Council’s planning portal showed that the applicants withdrew their application on June 18.

Submitted drawings suggest there would have been seven flats on the first floor, five on the second floor and four on each of the third and fourth floors.

Plans show the flats would have been a mix of one-bedroom and three-bedroom properties.

The office spaces are above several shops, including Superdrug, TG Jones and the Post Office, as well as the former Trespass store.
