POLICE are investigating reports of youths using catapult to target wild birds in Kidderminster.
The incident happened on Thursday on the canal in the town centre.
Witnesses saw three youths targeting the birds.
And, on arrival, officers from Kidderminster Police Safer Neighbourhood Team, found two ducks and a goose had been killed.
Three youths were searched at the scene and were found to have catapults and metal ball bearings on them. These were subsequently seized by the officers.
An investigation is ongoing under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.
