ADAM Murray believes he has finally found the ‘missing ingredient’ at Kidderminster Harriers following the club’s win at Buxton.

Harriers claimed a 3-1 victory at the Tarmac Silverlands Stadium as Seb Thompson, Ryley Reynolds and Amari Morgan-Smith all found the net.

Murray also handed a debut to forward Kieren Donnelly after he arrived on loan from National League side Boston United.

And Harriers boss Murray praised Donnelly’s impact following a lively display at the top end of the pitch.

Murray said: “He’s an ingredient I think we’ve missed all season.

“He’s dynamic, he doesn’t stop. What makes a centre-forward like that is his character and attitude.

“Even when I spoke to him on the phone, his attitude came across, he’s my kind of guy.

“He fits our pressing style but in those moments when defenders switch off he’s just there waiting.

“I’m really pleased for him to have a great performance on debut and he’s really going to add to us.”

Kidderminster have struggled when playing on artificial surfaces throughout the course of the season.

And Murray admits his side changed their gameplan in order to adapt to the surface at Buxton.

Murray added: “We knew we’d have to have a certain type of performance on a surface we’ve not been great on in terms of 3G.

“We knew we wouldn’t play our normal football and we wanted to go about the game in a certain way and the lads were brilliant.

“We wanted to put them under more stress and go a little bit more physical with them.

“When we got the press wrong they did break through us which we had to fix at half time.

“The lads carried that out in the second half and it was a comfortable win in the end.

“I asked for a professional performance at the start of the game and I got that.”

Kidderminster are next in action against Peterborough Sports on Tuesday, March 10 with kick-off at 7.45pm at Aggborough.
