ADAM Murray praised his side for finding a different way to win after Kidderminster Harriers battled to victory against Curzon Ashton.
A second-half goal from veteran midfielder David Davis at Aggborough saw Harriers claim a seventh straight win in all competitions.
The result leaves Kidderminster fourth in the National League North table, 10 points behind leaders South Shields.
And Murray praised his side for coming out on top in a tricky game against play-off chasing Curzon.
Murray said: “It was very different to the last few games we’ve had. But if you’re going to be successful you’ve got to learn to win in different ways.
“They were very direct and our gameplan was to be super aggressive with our backline. We wanted to stay really high and we took the risk of leaving the space in behind.
“The first half was horrible, I didn’t like the first half, the game was scrappy, we couldn’t get any flow in it.
“It was a real team effort from the club. We’re just enjoying being at home at the minute, there’s a good energy.
“It’s a big win because these games are tricky games but we ground out a good win.”
Harriers have now recorded five successive clean sheets and have gone almost a month without conceding a goal.
However, despite the club’s impressive form, Murray insists his side can still improve in the coming weeks.
Murray added: “We’re trying to stay really focused on everything we’re doing. We’ve got to keep pushing.
“We’ve got so much we can improve on. Goals, clean sheets and performance levels, we have to keep pushing and not rest and not allow for any complacency.
“We’ve learnt a lot through situations. It’s just a total mindset now.
“I want to get through to the next round [of the FA Trophy], I won’t be making changes for the sake of making changes.
“It’s a challenge for us, we’re going up against a team in a higher league and we want to win it.”
Kidderminster host Morecambe in the FA Trophy on Saturday, January 10 with kick-off at 3pm at Aggborough.
