ADAM Murray ‘wants more’ from his side after Kidderminster Harriers secured a play-off spot following victory against King’s Lynn Town.
Harriers recovered from an early setback to cruise to a 4-1 victory against King’s Lynn at Aggborough and secure a top-seven finish in the process.
An early goal from Ross Crane put King’s Lynn ahead only for Kieren Donnelly, George Walker, Owen Evans and Emeka Obi all to find the net for Harriers.
The result leaves Kidderminster third in the National League North table with Harriers unable to finish lower than fourth.
And Harriers boss Murray wants his side to push on and secure promotion with a play-off spot secured.
Murray said: “We’ve been speaking about control for a few weeks and as a group we wanted more control in what we were doing and we got that.
“The decision to give their goal is an absolute embarrassment. The player is standing 10-yards offside in front of our goalkeeper and he’s tried to head it.
“But we reacted as we have done for a big part of the season and from that moment the boys were outstanding and won every individual battle.
“It was a dominant display. We’re in a good position and a good shape in terms of the squad. We’ve got to keep building now.
“I was set a target to get in the play-offs, it’s always nice to tick a box but we want more.
“We’ve grown in every area and want more now, we want third spot and we want promotion and to push everybody to the max.”
Obi completed the scoring for Kidderminster as the defender netted his eighth goal of the season.
And Murray heaped praise on the 24-year-old who has a established himself as a leader on the pitch.
Murray added: “He’s got this knack of just somehow forcing the ball in the net. He said this one came off his gonads.
“For a centre-half to get eight goals is top drawer. People forget how young he is.
“He’s played a lot of games of football but he’s young and he’s grown and he’s becoming more of a leader.”
Kidderminster are next in action against Radcliffe on Tuesday, April 14 with kick-off at 7.45pm at Neuven Stadium.
