FOOTBALL - Callum Dolan admits it was an easy decision to reunite with former boss at Kidderminster Harriers

CALLUM Dolan admits it was an easy decision for the midfielder to reunite with former boss Paul Wotton at Kidderminster Harriers.

Dolan became the club’s first summer signing ahead of the 2026/27 season as recently-appointed Harriers boss Wotton begins to shape his squad.

Attacking midfielder Dolan played under Wotton at Torquay United in the National League South last season.

And Dolan believe he and Wotton share the same passion and work ethic to deliver results on the pitch.

Dolan said: “I know Paul really well on a football level and a personal level. He’s someone that I look up to.

“We share the same morals, we’re both passionate, we work ridiculously hard and we’re both winners.

“When Paul got the job, because I believe so much in him, it wasn’t a tough decision at all.

“We’ve worked really well together, I’m delighted to be back with him.

“It was an achievement finishing where we did last year, I’m delighted to be here at a big club.”

Dolan can operate behind the front line or out wide and scored five goals and provided five assists in 22 league games for Torquay last term.

And Dolan believes the infrastructure in place at Harriers will aid the club’s challenge to stay in the National League next season.

Dolan added: “I like to think I can do a bit of everything, Paul would say that he likes me going forward and beating players but I also like the aggressive side of the game.

“There’s numerous positions I can play so that’s up to Paul.

“I always wanted to get a deal done as soon as the season finished.

“I know how tough it is to get out of the National League North and South.

“For Kidderminster to go and get promoted shows the club have done things really well and there must be something fundamentally right at the club.

“We’re going into a new league with better opposition, better managers and bigger clubs but that’s a challenge we’ve all got to accept.”
