FOOTBALL - Emeka Obi admits Kidderminster Harriers players are 'not happy' with performances

EMEKA Obi admits he and his Kidderminster Harriers teammates are ‘not happy’ with the club’s performances this season.

Despite losing just one league game this season, the defender insists there is more to come from Adam Murray’s side.

Obi arrived at Harriers from AFC Fylde to reunite with boss Murray after the pair helped AFC Fylde win the National League North title in 2022/23.

And the towering defender, who scored his first goal for the club against King’s Lynn Town earlier this season, believes Harriers will only improve as the season goes on.

Obi said: “We’ve been good but I feel we can bring a lot more to the league.

“Some of the lads are still gelling, we’ve got a new team basically and we know we can bring more to the table.

“We’re not really happy with our performances which is a good sign. We know what we’re capable of.

“We’re a bit frustrated. It’s just the mentality. We’ve experienced [late goals] so we’ll handle it better if we’re in the same situation again.

“Change is good. The gaffer knows what our intentions are at the end of the season – promotion.”

Kidderminster are next in action against Peterborough Sports on Saturday, October 4 with kick-off at 3pm at Lincoln Road.
