EMEKA Obi’s first-half goal earned Kidderminster Harriers a hard-fought 1-0 victory away at King’s Lynn Town.
Obi scored the game’s only goal, and his first for Harriers, on 25 minutes to help Adam Murray’s side to a third straight win at The Walks.
The result means Kidderminster sit fourth in the National League North table.
Obi almost broke the deadlock early on when he headed Kam Kandola’s sweeping cross over the crossbar.
And the defender put Harriers ahead later in the first half when he forced Seb Thompson’s initial header from Joe Foulkes’ cross over the line.
Visiting defender Pierce Bird then produced a crucial covering challenge to prevent Michael Gyasi from racing through after Alex Penny lost his footing.
Gyasi eventually found a sight of goal in first-half injury time but could only blast a powerful effort past the post from distance.
Harriers created a half chance at the start of the second period as substitute Ryley Reynolds saw his effort blocked.
At the other end, King’s Lynn full-back Reece Hall-Johnson fired well over the crossbar.
And Penny then fired over the top from inside the penalty area just past the hour mark following a free-kick.
King’s Lynn increased the pressure late on as Harriers goalkeeper Christian Dibble pushed Morgan Williams’ rising free-kick from 20-yards out behind for a corner.
And substitute Sam Collins then lashed a shot against the post with the follow-up blocked behind as Harriers held on.
Murray’s side survived 10 minutes of injury time to seal the points as Harriers secured a third straight league victory.
Kidderminster are next in action against Macclesfield on Saturday, September 6 with kick-off at 3pm at Aggborough.
