FORMER Kidderminster Harriers boss Adam Murray has won the National League North manager of the month award for April.

Murray guided Harriers to a perfect month with six victories from as many matches as Harriers ended the campaign on a six-game winning run.

Kidderminster began the month with a 2-1 win against Hereford on Good Friday and then won 2-1 at AFC Telford United on Easter Monday.

A dominant 4-1 home win against King’s Lynn Town followed before Murray’s side won 3-1 at Radcliffe.

And Kidderminster won 3-2 away at relegated Leamington in their penultimate league fixture before beating runners-up South Shields 1-0 on the final day of the season at Aggborough.

Murray’s side continued their fine form in the play-offs as Kidderminster beat Macclesfield 3-1 to move 90 minutes away from promotion.

And Harriers ended the campaign with a 2-0 win at South Shields in the National League North play-off final to return to the National League.

However, Murray left his role as Harriers boss just three days after guiding the club to promotion to take up the managerial vacancy at relegated League Two side Barrow.

Murray also won the division’s manager of the month award for December earlier this season.
