FORMER Kidderminster Harriers boss Phil Brown has made a return to management with Peterborough Sports.

Harriers sacked Brown at the end of the 2024/25 season after the club failed to achieve promotion via the National League North play-offs.

A 2-1 defeat against Chester at Aggborough proved Brown’s final game in charge of the club.

The club also failed to win the National League North title on the final day of the regular season following a shock defeat at Southport.

Harriers have since replaced Brown with Adam Murray who has lost just once in the league this season.

However, after a few months out of the game, Brown has now returned to management with Kidderminster’s National League North rivals Perterborough.

He joins a Peterborough side who sit bottom of the table and three points from safety with just one win from eight matches.

Sports have conceded a league high 18 goals and have found the net a joint low of six times.

Brown replaces former Harriers striker Michael Gash and Manchester United goalkeeper Luke Steele in the Peterborough dugout.

The 66-year-old won promotion to the Premier League with Hull City in 2008 and kept the Tigers in the top flight the following campaign.

He has also managed the likes of Bolton Wanderers, Derby County and Preston North End and won promotion to League One with Southend United in 2015.

Harriers visit Peterborough on Saturday, October 4 with the return fixture at Aggborough scheduled for Tuesday, March 10.
