KIDDERMINSTER Harriers have cancelled the contract of young striker Jason Adigun by mutual consent.
Adigun only moved to Harriers in the summer from Dagenham and Redbridge.
However, the 21-year-old has now departed Aggborough after making just six appearances for Adam Murray’s side.
Murray said: “Jason, being away from home, doesn’t feel comfortable here and has been honest about that. He came to me and was really upset.
“It has started to really affect his mental state, being away from home and not playing the way he knows he can play.
“One thing I’m never going to do is stop somebody feeling happy. Football goes out the window, and we’ve had some long conversations.
“Ultimately, we’re doing what’s best for Jason. As a football club, we’re not going to stand in his way.”
Adigun spent time on loan at Eastbourne Borough last season under the guidance of current Harriers boss Murray.
His arrival came after Kidderminster’s star striker Ashley Hemmings joined Dagenham for an undisclosed fee.
However, Adigun has now left Harriers in search of football closer to home.
He did not feature in any of Kidderminster’s last four league matches.
