“This notification was issued under the Assets of Community Value (ACV) framework, which KHIST successfully applied for to help protect this vital community asset.
“In response, KHIST has contacted Wyre Forest District Council to request assurances regarding any covenants or conditions that may be attached to any sale.
“Our aim is that the stadium and surrounding land will continue to be safeguarded for football use as the home of Kidderminster Harriers Football Club, both now and in the years ahead.”
A Wyre Forest District Council spokesperson said: “The Council has issued notification in accordance with the legislation on assets of community value as it expects to receive a purchase proposal from Kidderminster Harriers Football Club.
“The Cabinet will consider any proposals received once the moratorium period on these assets has ended. During the first six weeks, a notification of intent to bid will trigger the full moratorium.
“Anyone wishing to buy the assets must then submit a credible bid by the end of the six-month period (April 23, 2026). No decision has been made at this time.
“Third parties involved in potential property transactions with the Council are entitled to privacy about their positions when negotiations are ongoing. Therefore, we will not be releasing further information about the details of any proposals when they are received.”
