KIDDERMINSTER Harriers cruised to their biggest league victory of the season by dispatching in-form AFC Telford United 3-0 in a crunch local derby, writes Neil Gordon.

The Reds stretched their unbeaten league run to five games, and kept their third consecutive clean sheet, while exacting revenge on a Telford team that had eliminated them from the FA Cup.

Reds ‘keeper Christian Dibble was again seldom troubled, while new Leicester City loan signing Toby Onanaye tasted action from the bench.

Visitors Telford failed to concern their hosts bar Remi Walker going down inside the Harriers’ box at 1-0, but the referee ignored protestations from the 630 travelling Bucks fans.

Aggborough’s highest crowd this season of 3,381 watched as Kidderminster cemented fourth place in National League North on 43 points.

Emeka Obi gave Harriers the perfect start from a corner on four minutes when he took Amari Morgan-Smith’s superb header in his stride to blast past Josh Gracey in the Telford goal.

It was Obi’s second strike in four days after his match-winner against Hereford at Edgar Street on Boxing Day.

Early in the second half Kidderminster doubled their lead when Charlie Cooper confidently drilled home a fierce low shot from the edge of the box.

And Reece Devine added to his goal against Fylde to make it three when he skilfully fired home across goal late on to delight Aggborough.

Full-time arrived with the North Stand faithful rightly chanting for Reds boss Adam Murray to acknowledge their appreciation, as Harriers finished the year united in victory.
