CHRISTIAN Dibble saved two penalties in the shootout as Kidderminster Harriers saw off divisional rivals Workstop Town to advance in the FA Trophy.
Dibble denied both Joe Leesley and Lewis Whitham from the spot in the penalty shootout as Harriers triumphed 4-1 on spot kicks following a goalless draw in regulation time at Sandy Lane.
The FA Trophy fourth round draw takes place on Monday, December 15 live on talkSPORT 2 from around 5pm.
Harriers tested Worksop goalkeeper Lewis Forshaw early on as he comfortably held Ryley Reynolds’ effort from distance.
And veteran striker Amari Morgan-Smith then saw his effort blocked behind after he controlled a low ball into the box and fired a shot towards goal.
The visitors spurned a golden chance to take the lead later in the first half when Paul Kalambayi won a header in the penalty area and Joe Foulkes nodded over the bar from inside the six-yard box.
At the other end, Luke Waterfall sent a volley over the bar after Jordan Burrow headed well wide of the target earlier in the first half.
Worksop missed a glorious chance to break the deadlock early in the second half as Whitham shot inches past the post when one-on-one with Dibble.
And Dibble then reacted sharply to turn Burrow’s effort on the half-volley behind for a corner.
Harriers came closest to breaking the deadlock with 20 minutes left to play as Foulkes saw his deflected low shot tipped behind by Forshaw at full stretch.
And from the resulting corner, Worksop cleared Kam Kandola’s header off the line before the home side eventually cleared the ball to safety.
Worksop responded with a chance of their own as Dibble saved from Vaughan Redford when one-on-one.
The final chance of regulation time fell to Luke Spokes as Forshaw pushed the midfielder’s dipping effort away from goal as the game went to penalties.
And goalkeeper Dibble proved the hero for Harriers as he made fine saves to deny Leesley and Whitham in the shootout while Harriers converted all four of their kicks.
