KIDDERMINSTER Harriers FA Trophy quarter-final opponents Wealdstone have sacked their manager days before the two clubs are due to meet.

Wealdstone parted company with now former boss Sam Cox following a 3-0 defeat against Sutton United in the National League last weekend.

The Stones have placed first team coach Danny Payne in temporary charge alongside the remaining members of Wealdstone’s management team.

Payne guided Wealdstone to a 2-1 victory against 10-man Brackley Town in midweek which ended a run of four league games without a win.

Wealdstone currently sit 14th in the National League table and beat Forest Green Rovers to set up a quarter-final tie with Harriers.

Kidderminster head into the clash off the back of a convincing 4-0 victory against Marine in midweek.

Harriers have already beaten two National League teams en route to the quarter-finals.

Kidderminster host Wealdstone on Saturday, February 28 with kick-off at 3pm at Aggborough.
