KIDDERMINSTER Harriers scored two late goals to claim a 3-1 home win against Chorley and move back into the play-off places.
A first Harriers goal for Michael Gyasi put the home side in front only for debutant Charlie Cooper to put through his own net and bring Chorley level after the break at Aggborough.
However, Kurt Willoughby made an immediate impact off the bench to put Harriers ahead late on before fellow sub Luke Spokes completed the scoring five minutes from time.
And the result means Kidderminster sit sixth in the National League North table, one point clear of the teams battling for a top-seven place.
Harriers signed experienced midfielder Cooper on loan from Yeovil Town ahead of kick-off with the 28-year-old thrown straight into Adam Murray’s starting line-up.
And Kidderminster broke the deadlock on 17 minutes when recent signing Gyasi opened his account for the club with a powerful finish to the right side of the goal from 15-yards out.
Chorley thought they had drawn level four minutes later only for Jack Sampson to see his effort ruled out for offside after Christian Dibble superbly kept out Tom Carr’s initial header.
Harriers almost found a second goal just before the half-hour mark as Chorley turned Ryley Reynolds’ dangerous cross into the box behind for a corner.
However, the visitors drew level after the break on 51 minutes when Cooper inadvertently flicked Tom Walker’s cross into his own net as the ball looped into the bottom left corner.
Gyasi spurned a good chance to double his tally for the game just past the hour mark as he fired straight at Matt Urwin in the Chorley goal from inside the box.
Harriers reclaimed the lead on 78 minutes when Willoughby forced a shot into the net at the back post from close range after a corner from the right travelled to the back post.
And the home side sealed the points on 85 minutes as Spokes headed in George Walker’s cross from the left from six-yards out.
