KIDDERMINSTER Harriers confirmed their place in the National League North play-offs with a confident 4-1 victory over relegation-threatened King’s Lynn Town, writes Neil Gordon.

First-half strikes from Kieren Donnelly, George Walker and Owen Evans put the Reds in the driving seat after Ross Crane had given the visitors a shock early lead at Aggborough.

Emeka Obi then sealed victory after the interval with his eighth goal of the season, adding to his first goal for the club in the reverse fixture of last September.

A crowd of 2,598 saw Harriers reach 78 points in third place in the National League North.

Kidderminster fell behind when Crane clinically fired home from outside of the box at a corner, after the visitors had countered from a Reds free-kick at the other end.

Harriers were soon back level when Donnelly ghosted in at the back-post from a Reds counter-attack, after Thomas Wilson’s shot was blocked on the line by Josh Robinson.

Walker then put Harriers ahead when he bundled the ball home for his first goal for the club after another great cross in from the left.

Harriers were in the ascendancy and Evans produced a neat finish on 35 minutes after Donnelly had pressured visiting goalkeeper Aaron Chapman into conceding a corner.

And after the interval Obi steered the ball home at close range from another corner, as the Reds sealed a comfortable victory to guarantee their play-off place at the business end of the season.

Kidderminster play Radcliffe at the Neuven Stadium on Tuesday, April 14. Kick-off is at 7.45pm.
