KIDDERMINSTER Harriers have signed forward Kieren Donnelly on loan from Boston United.
Donnelly has previously played for the likes of Redditch United and Halesowen Town.
The 24-year-old joined National League side Boston following a prolific spell at Halesowen where he scored 50 goals in 100 appearances.
Donnelly has scored eight goals in 35 appearances for Boston this season after coming through Aston Villa’s youth academy.
Harriers boss Adam Murray said: “It’s been well documented we’ve not scored enough goals this season.
“We’ve looked at different solutions and different ways of creating more chances and trying to get more goals into the team.
“We’ve had a little bit of a niggle with Danny [Waldron] as well, so we’ve had to leave him out the last couple of games, but he’s coming on now so that’s good, but we’ve had our eye on Kieren for a while.
“He’s one we tried to get earlier in the season, but they wouldn’t let him out.
“The most pleasing thing for me about this one is that he had three National League options to go to and stay at the level, but he wanted to be part of what we’re doing here.
“He felt the way we play suited his style and he wanted to be part of a promotion push, and I feel we’re really bringing somebody in who knows where the back of the net is.”
He will wear the number 10 shirt at Aggborough and is available for selection against Buxton this weekend.
