KIDDERMINSTER Harriers have signed left-sided defender Kai Innocent on a free transfer.
The 24-year-old joins Harriers after he recently departed National League South side Eastbourne Borough.
He won several player of the season awards at Eastbourne last season under the management of current Harriers boss Adam Murray.
Murray said: “We’re always looking to move for good players and Kai is definitely in that bracket, so this is a good opportunity for us.
“He came into us last season in a similar position and ended up getting player of the season, for the club and players’ player of the season.
“To get that honour from your peers shows what a great player he is.
“It’s a great coup for us and I’m very thankful to the chairman and Dean for making it happen. He’ll add a different dimension and dynamic to us.
“He can play in a couple of positions, he has goals in him and he has assists in him, so we’re over the moon to get him in.”
Innocent can play in a number of positions down the left-hand side of the pitch.
He made over 100 appearances for Eastbourne across four spells.
Innocent has also spent time at Queens Park Rangers, Hemel Hempstead Town and Havant and Waterlooville.
He could make his debut for Kidderminster against another of Murray’s former sides, AFC Fylde, this weekend.
