KIDDERMINSTER Harriers will play Macclesfield in the play-off semi-finals this weekend.
Harriers ended the campaign with a 1-0 victory against title contenders South Shields at Aggborough on the final day of the National League North season.
Opponents South Shields needed to win the game to stand any chance of clinching the title as AFC Fylde secured promotion as champions with victory at Merthyr Town.
However, Harriers claimed a sixth successive victory to end the National League North season in third place as Ryley Reynolds’ goal proved decisive.
Kidderminster will play Macclesfield in the play-off semi-finals after the latter side won an eliminator against Chester in midweek.
And Harriers boss Adam Murray admits Harriers will head into the play-offs full of confidence following a strong end to the campaign.
Murray said: “When you get to this stage of the season, it doesn’t matter who you play. It’s cup football now.
“We’ll approach it like that but we’re going into it [the play-offs] confident but humble because we know this league can bite you on the backside as quickly as it pats you on the back.”
Harriers suffered play-off heartbreak last term after missing out on the league title on the final day of the 2024/25 campaign.
However, Murray has guided Kidderminster to another top-seven finish this season, after replacing former boss Phil Brown in the summer.
The other semi-final pits runners-up South Shields against Buxton.
The play-off final will take place at the home ground of the highest ranked team based on the league standings.
Kidderminster host Macclesfield on Saturday, May 2 with kick-off at 12.30pm at Aggborough.
