KIDDERMINSTER Harriers strengthened their grip on a play-off spot with a comfortable 3-1 victory away at Buxton.
Goals from Seb Thompson, Ryley Reynolds and Amari Morgan-Smith sealed the points for Harriers while Richard Faakye put through his own net at the other end at the Tarmac Silverlands Stadium.
The result means Kidderminster sit fourth in the National League North table, seven points clear of the chasing pack in the race for a play-off place.
Harriers broke the deadlock on style on 25 minutes when Thompson placed a free-kick past Buxton goalkeeper Paul Cooper from 25-yards out to the left side of the goal.
However, Buxton equalised on 36 minutes as Faakye inadvertently turned Johnny Johnston’s cross from the right into his own net.
The visitors reclaimed the lead deep into first-half injury time when Reynolds acrobatically fired a dropping ball into the top right corner from 10-yards out.
And Harriers sealed the points on 76 minutes as substitute Morgan-Smith finished from point-blank range after Reece Devine’s cross from the right deflected off debutant Kieren Donnelly into the scorer’s path.
Kidderminster are next in action against Peterborough Sports on Tuesday, March 10 with kick-off at 7.45pm at Aggborough.
