STOURPORT Hockey Club’s respective teams took to the pitch at home and away across various divisions.
The men’s first XI played out a 1-1 draw against Barford Tigers in the Midlands Conference League.
Bedford made a strong start and took the lead in the first quarter following a defensive error.
Stourport almost drew level in the second quarter as captain Andy Cavendish hit the post from a penalty corner.
However, the visitors eventually drew level after half time while Cavendish preserved a point for Stourport when he picked the ball off the line late on.
Elsewhere, the men’s third XI beat Bournville and Kings Heath 3rds 2-0 at home in Midlands South Division Six.
Stourport dealt with some early Bournville pressure before home player Stu Pearson saw a couple of shots saved by the visiting goalkeeper.
The hosts took the lead five minutes into the second half as club legend David Knott produced a clinical finish from a well-worked move.
Stourport captain and goalkeeper Simon Thompson kept the visitors at bay before Rich Collins sealed the points just past the hour mark.
The men’s fourth XI suffered a 4-0 defeat at Worcester 3rds in Midlands South West Division Seven.
Stourport conceded an early goal to fall behind before Worcester doubled their lead just before the break.
And Worcester struck twice more in the second half to condemn Stourport to defeat.
Stourport’s women’s first XI suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat against Cannock in the Midlands Conference League.
Cannock took the lead only for Stourport to draw level courtesy of Holly Smith’s strike after the break.
However, Cannock reclaimed the lead with Stourport unable to find an equaliser in the remaining minutes.
The women’s second XI claimed an impressive 7-2 win against Sutton Coldfield 3rds in the Midlands Division One.
A Stourport player scored a hat-trick after Stourport took the lead just two minutes into the match.
Another player scored a brace as Stourport raced into a three-goal lead inside 20 minutes.
And the home side scored four further goals in a dominant display to take the points.
