STORUPORT Hockey Club’s men’s 4th XI played out a 2-2 draw against Barford Tigers in a hard-fought contest.
Barford twice took the lead only for Stourport to twice draw level in a back-and-forth clash.
A series of saves from Stu Paterson kept Barford at bay only for the visitors to take a slender one-goal advantage into the break.
However, Tom White finished off a flowing move after he combined well with Rob Nichols to draw Stourport level.
Barford reclaimed the lead late on only for Neil Farquharson to bring Stourport level a second time with a composed finish.
However, Stourport men’s 2nd XI suffered a heavy 7-1 home defeat against Lichfield 2nds.
Stourport’s only goal came courtesy of Adam Leeks after Lichfield had raced into a five-goal lead.
