STOURPORT Hockey Club’s men’s second XI came from behind to draw 2-2 against Finchfield.
With Stourport a player down, Finchfield created an overload to take the lead with the home side dangerous on the counter attack.
Despite controlling large periods of the second half, Stourport conceded a second goal following another Finchfield counter attack.
However, Adam Leeke halved the deficit with a simple finish into an empty net after good work down the right.
And Stourport equalised 10 minutes from time when Barney Wright found the net with a well-taken strike.
Elsewhere, Stourport men’s third XI suffered a 2-1 defeat against high-flying Old Halesonians.
Old Halesonians took the lead from a short corner before a quick counter attack late on saw the visitors double their advantage.
Stourport did not have enough time left to mount a comeback but David Knott scored with the final hit of the match to grab a consolation goal.
And Stourport men’s fourth XI lost 2-0 against a youthful Old Silhillians 3rds.
The home side raced into a two-goal lead as the Stourport defence prevented Old Silhillians from extending their advantage further.
