STOURPORT Hockey Club’s women’s first XI played out a 1-1 draw on the road against Nottingham Trent University.

The visitors moved the ball well on a difficult pitch as Laura Price converted a penalty flick to put Stourport ahead.

However, Nottingham eventually drew level in the last quarter of the game from a short corner.

Elsewhere, the men’s second XI suffered a 6-1 defeat against Stafford 1sts.

Stafford led by a single goal at the break following a closely-contested first half.

However, Stafford’s physicality proved too much for Stourport in the second half although Adam Leeks scored a consolation goal  late on.

Lastly, the club’s under-16 girls team progressed to the Plate National Finals which take place at Nottingham Hockey Centre next month.
