A TENACIOUS couple will be walking all the way from Kidderminster to Wales before taking on two mountains and walking back to raise funds for charity.
After their initial 110-mile trek Jenny Clarke and Paul Pegrum will head to Mount Snowdon’s summit and then walk down country to Brecon.
From there, they will scale Pen Y Fan in a bid to reach that summit before walking back to Kidderminster.
The whole excursion is set to be a 320-mile round trip which the pair aim to complete in around nine days, walking between 30 and 40 miles each day.
They will be sleeping out with minimal kit and will be self-sufficient throughout.
The Kidderminster Royal Marine Cadets Corps – which Paul’s son attends – have generously loaned them some kit for the trip.
The walk and mountain treks are aimed at raising funds and awareness for the British Acoustic Neuroma Association (BANA).
The charity supports people diagnosed with a rare type of brain tumour.

Paul said: “The charity is very close to our hearts and we would love to raise as much as possible for them.”
Paul and Jenny want to raise as much as possible for the cause.
Paul added they would be very grateful for any donations to their fundraising page, no matter how much.
“If you can’t donate we would really appreciate your support though a share of this, or you can follow our journey over on our Instagram page for the event.
“We are overwhelmed by all your support so far – thank you each and everyone of you.”
The couple have been approached by Kidderminster Town Council and will be able to use the newly-refurbished town hall as their start and finish point.
Times for the trek are being confirmed.
The town hall team has also offered up four tickets for one of the up-and-coming events to raffle off for BANA.
All information will be available on the pair’s Instagram account.
