ST PETER’S Church in Cookley has thanked everyone who supported its recent events, including an afternoon tea fundraiser and a tidy-up.
The afternoon tea fundraiser generated just over £1,140.
A spokesperson for the church said: “This will help enormously as we are currently faced with a large bill for roof repairs.”
And the church has also thanked all the volunteers who came to help transform the area around the building.
The overgrown foliage was cut back and guttering downpipes were unblocked.
A church spokesperson said: “We are so grateful to the community for helping us maintain our beautiful church.”
