Closure to major Bewdley road coming later this month

Kidderminster Editorial 9th Oct, 2025

A MAJOR road will be closed in Bewdley later this month while flood defence works are carried out.

Riverside North will be shut on Monday, October 20, to resurface the road.

All access will be suspended from the entrance of Riverside North to Bewdley Rowing Club whilst the works takes place.

All parked vehicles will need to be removed from Riverside North during these work.

Flood defence works are in their final stages, with the resurfacing being carried out to alleviate any damage caused during this process.

In addition to the resurfacing, the corner of Riverside North (Tollhouse) will be reinstated to its original layout, while Bridge House will be carrying out resurfacing to their car park.

Surface preparation works will take place on Thursday, October 16 and Friday, October 17, and although access for cyclists, pedestrians and vehicles are hoped to be available on those days, there may be some disruption.

Traffic management marshalls will be in place on those days to minimise disruption.

Traffic management will be in place again from Tuesday to Friday, October 21 to 24, for the reinstatement of Tollhouse.
