WYRE FOREST Council has replaced broken bins in response to residents voicing concerns about dog fouling in the district.
Last week, the authority highlighted the issue and people got in touch to tell them where the broken bins were located.
Among the bins replaced were one on Marlpool Place and one in the alley between Birchen Coppice School and the shops on Avon Road.
The council’s Public Realm team has been out replacing the bins so owners can dispose of dog waste properly.
More replacements will also be on the way in the coming weeks.
A Wyre Forest District Council spokesperson said: “Every single dog fouling report has been logged and passed to our enforcement team, who continue to patrol problem areas and speak with dog owners about their responsibilities.”
And they urged people to ‘keep reporting the issue’.
“If you spot broken bins, dog fouling, or other issues in your area, please keep letting us know.”
Anyone wanting to report broken bins can visit: orlo.uk/vGdXn to do so.
The spokesperson added: “Your reports help us keep Wyre Forest a clean, safe, and green place to live, work, and visit.
“Together, we’re making a difference.”
