‘SAVE energy, save money’ will be the ethos at a Wyre Forest Green Alliance (WFGA) and Transition Bewdley event on February 14.
The Greener Energy Fair will take place from 10am to 2pm at St George’s Hall, Bewdley, and is free.
The fair will showcase practical ways for households and communities to reduce energy use, cut costs and explore alternatives to fossil fuels.
WFGA chair John Rhymer said: “Visitors will have the opportunity to speak directly with experts and get impartial advice tailored to their needs.
“There is so much misinformation and misunderstanding about renewable energy, planet-friendly transport etc. so we have also arranged a programme of short talks, followed by questions, offering practical insights and real-life experiences of local people.
“As it is on Valentine’s Day, people might like to consider adopting some of the measures to make their homes more energy efficient so that next year romantic evenings will be cosier.”
Janice Bell, chair of Transition Bewdley, said “We are delighted to support The Greener Energy Fair. Many people will be considering moving to more sustainable energy products to heat their homes and provide their transport.
“This fair offers answers to many of their questions under one roof.“
Plenty going on to go greener
Exhibits will include solar and wind power, heat pumps, solid fuels, district heating, insulation, energy efficiency, e-bikes, electric vehicles (EVs), energy suppliers, consumer advice and financial services.
The event will include children’s activities and local craft stalls and artists, making it an enjoyable and informative day out.
The group said: “This Valentine’s Day, ‘love your family, love your planet’.”
