County Lines drug dealer from Kidderminster jailed for more than five years

Tristan Harris 2nd Mar, 2026

A COUNTY Lines drug dealer from Kidderminster has been jailed for more than five years after being found guilty of supplying cocaine.

Syed Ahmad, 36, of Gheluvelt Avenue, was found guilty at Worcester Crown Court of being concerned in the supply of the Class A drug and he was sentenced to three years and nine months (45 months in total). He also had a previous suspended sentence – which also related to him being concerned in the supply of cocaine – activated. This saw him given 17 months which was added consecutively, meaning his total term is 62 months.

DC Kane Baker, from North Worcestershire Proactive CID, welcomed the sentence.

He said: “We are pleased to get this court result for Ahmad whose drug dealing pushed cocaine into Kidderminster and the surrounding areas.

“The harmful impact of drugs and drug-dealing on our communities is well documented and we will always act on intelligence to shut down deal lines like this one.

“Drug dealers prey on the most vulnerable people in society and their presence in turn causes more crime such as shoplifting, burglary and anti-social behaviour.”

The investigation into Ahmad’s antics and his arrest and conviction was part of Operation Target – West Mercia Police’s work to tackle serious and organised crime.

The force said the local community could help officers by continuing to report any signs of criminal activity, adding the easiest way to submit information was via the website.
