Dangerous dog incident in Kidderminster prompts police appeal

Tristan Harris 2nd Feb, 2026

POLICE are investigating after a loose large, and potentially dangerous, dog jumped up at a woman and caused her to fall to the ground.

The incident happened as the woman was walking on Offmore Road around 9am on January 23.

Reports received by police suggest the dog was aggressive, showing its teeth and barking before it leapt at the victim.

She managed to push the dog away and it then ran off.

The dog was described as a large brown American Bulldog, or a similar breed, and was not wearing a collar.

Officers are now appealing for information from residents in the Comberton area who might know who the dog belongs to.

Anyone with information which could help the police, or anyone who lives in the area and has CCTV or doorbell footage around the time the incident happened is urged to email PC Lee Strong at: [email protected] to pass on the details.
