STOURPORT Bridge is set to be closed later this week for a special inspection.
The bridge will be closed on Thursday, January 8, between 9.30am and 2.30pm, while an inspection takes place.
The street lighting contractors will be attending Stourport Bridge during the scheduled bridge inspection closure.
During this time, six lanterns on the bridge and one lantern outside the hotel will be removed.
This comes after movement was spotted in the lanterns, as well as issues with the plexiglass panels caused by exposure to the elements.
The manufacturer of the lanterns, William Sugg & Co, will be on site and will take the lanterns away for detailed inspection and remedial works.
A fully signposted diversion will be in place throughout the closure.
Works on the lanterns are expected to take several weeks.
Temporary lanterns will be installed to ensure lighting levels are maintained across the bridge.
