A STOURPORT motorist has been banned from driving for 12 months and given a 10-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months.
The term was handed to Max Haywood, 24, of Redstone Lane, for driving while disqualified and failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver following speeding offences.
The sentence, at Kidderminster Magistrates Court, follows a number of speeding offences that were detected on the A449 in Worcestershire.
Haywood was detected on five separate occasions travelling between 61mph to 63mph in a 50mph speed limit.
Haywood was legally required to give information relating to the identification of the driver at the time of the offences. His failure to do so – and the fact he was driving while disqualified at the time of the offences – resulted in 10 weeks imprisonment, suspended for 12 months, disqualification for 12 months, 200 hours unpaid work requirement, rehabilitation activity and court costs and a victim surcharge totalling £239.
