A DRIVER sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital after a crash on the A456 Bewdley bypass last night (Saturday, October 25).
The collision occurred around 9pm when a Mini John Cooper Works model was travelling away from Kidderminster along the bypass.
It was approaching the small island with the B4195 Bewdley Road North when it left the road and collided with the base of the roundabout, finishing up onto the roundabout itself.
The car then came to rest on a grass verge just before the B4195 roundabout exit.
The driver of the vehicle suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital. No arrests have been made.
Police are investigating and have urged anyone who saw the Mini either before the collision or the collision itself or who has captured any of it on a dashcam to come forward.
Anyone with information should email PC Benjamin Hudson at [email protected] or call him on 101.
