Entrance improvement works get under way at Kidderminster's Habberley Valley nature reserve

Tristan Harris 15th Jan, 2026

THE WORK on the entrance to Habberley Valley nature reserve in Kidderminster got under way today (Thursday).

Essential resurfacing works are being carried out on the main entrance track.

The work was due to take place last week but was cancelled due to icy conditions.

The work will address potholes along the tarmac section between the main road and the visitor car park, making sure there is a smoother and safer experience for visitors throughout the year.

The reserve is closed today and tomorrow (Friday) and is due to be fully reopened on Saturday, January 17, with its revamped entrance track.

Bosses at the reserve said they were looking forward to welcoming back visitors.

“Thank you for your patience and understanding while we complete these important improvements,” they said.

While the reserve is closed, people are urged to visit: orlo.uk/4wtza to check out the other beautiful Wyre Forest nature reserves which can be explored.
