Festive fun at Bewdley Artisan Market

Ryan Smith 18th Dec, 2025

THE FIFTH Bewdley Artisan Market was held at the town’s rowing club on December 5.

The events usually welcome around 25 stalls selling a variety of quality items, including gin, cider gifts, baked goods, pastries and cakes, crafts, produce, food and drink, silver, textiles, artwork and more.

As well as championing local crafters and traders, the event was also celebrating its first-year anniversary.

To mark the occasion a special tray bake was made and distributed to all who attended.

Ellie Hooper, who organises and co-ordinates the event with Sonia Lloyd, thanked everyone involved in the markets since their launch, including Bewdley Town Council and Mayor, Coun Nicole Harper, for their support.

“We champion high quality local crafters and produce,” said Ellie.

“It is set against the well-established Bewdley Rowing Club’s picturesque backdrop of the River Severn.”

Bewdley Rowing Club chairman Doug Jackson said: “We’re delighted to be working in partnership with the organisers to host the event.

“It is also a great way of raising the rowing club’s profile and showing visitors what we do here.”

The hugely popular acoustic and vocal duet Toucan perform all day at each event which enables the market to support the Kidderminster-based charity H.E.L.P. The organisation helps the homeless and people in need within Wyre Forest via an outreach support network and signposting.

Bewdley Artisan Market runs quarterly and the next one takes place in March.

Disabled parking is available and well-behaved dogs are welcome.

Alternative parking is available at Bewdley’s town centre car parks.
