A BUILDING fire saw a major Kidderminster street blocked in both directions.

Three Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews – two from Wyre Forest and one from Droitwich Fire Stations – were called at 11:37am on Wednesday (October 8) to a building fire on Oxford Street.

The fire, on the ground floor of a property, was fought by four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and using two hosereels.

Oxford Street was blocked in both directions.
Fire crews were still at the scene at 1.30pm and traffic remains slow.
