Free Christmas parking in Kidderminster, Bewdley and Stourport

Ryan Smith 4th Nov, 2025

CHRISTMAS shoppers will get an early present as there will be free parking in all district council car parks in Kidderminster, Stourport and Bewdley over the festive season.

From Monday, December 1, until Christmas Eve, visitors can park for free between 3pm and 6pm, Monday to Friday, in all council-owned car parks.

This offer includes short-stay car parks, which have a maximum two-hour limit.

A ticket is still required, and any overpayments won’t be refunded.

This festive offer is in addition to the council’s free hour parking scheme at Batemans Yard, Kidderminster, Gardners Meadow, Bewdley, and Vale Road, Stourport.

The festive parking offer only applies to car parks owned by Wyre Forest District Council and does not include Weaver’s Wharf car park in Kidderminster, which is privately owned.

Coun Nathan Desmond, Cabinet Member for Operational Services, said: “We’re really pleased to offer extra free parking again this festive season. It’s a great opportunity to support our local businesses — and if you use both schemes together, you can park for free for up to four hours in our long stay car parks.

“It’s easier than ever to shop local, enjoy what’s on our doorstep, and help our high streets thrive.”
