The free event runs from 10am to 2pm on February 14 at St George’s Hall, and offers attendees the chance to find out more on heating, solar, cars, energy supply, insulation and more.

There will be stalls, expert advice and short pop-up talks at 30-minute intervals.

The 10-minute talks start with ‘How to reduce wood-burner air pollution by Geo Meadows at 10.30am.

At 11am, there will be ‘Flight-free travel’ by Janice Bell and at 11.30am, Nigel Lloyd will speak about ‘energy retrofits on two terraced house’ and at 12pm, Clive Prince will give a presentation entitled ‘Bikes and E-bikes’ on low carbon, healthy transport.

At 12.30pm, there will be ‘District heating from the River Severn’ by Peter Miller and at 1pm a question and answer session on electric vehicles with EV owner Keith Budden.

The final talk of the day – at 1.30pm – will be Brian Harper’s ‘DIY energy retrofit measure’.

The Greener Energy Fair has been organised by the Wyre Forest Green Alliance and everyone is welcome to come along.

The alliance is made up of more than 50 organisations which have expressed concerns about the climate crisis. Among them are churches, women’s institutes, environmentally conscious businesses and other local community and environmental groups.
