WYRE Forest District Council has given the green light to repair works for a flat on Bewdley High Street after it was damaged in a fire.
A second-floor flat at 25 High Street was damaged in a fire, which led to the entire roof structure being condemned.
It also suffered subsequent water damage.
The roof structure is therefore required to be replaced with new structural timbers.
Alongside this will be a suite of refurbishment works both externally and internally, including a replacement roof covering, a new window and new doors, frames and skirting.
The plumbing, heating, and electrical systems will also be replaced.
A planning applicatioon was lodged for the repairs and was appreoved last week.
