Happy to Chat? - Chance to make new friends at Kidderminster Town Hall cafe

Tristan Harris 25th Jan, 2026

A HAPPY to Chat table has been introduced to the Courtyard By Savva Cafe in Kidderminster Town Hall.

Friendly volunteers are running the table every Wednesday from 10.30am and 11.30am.

The aim of the Happy to Chat table is for people to meet new people, chat to other customers and maybe even make new friends.

There is no need to book, people can just turn up.

Jackie Murrall, the heritage volunteer co-ordinator, said: “We’ve noticed that lots of people are coming in on their own.

“For some. that may be really valuable ‘me’ time, but others may enjoy some company and the chance to have a chat, especially if they live on their own.”

A spokesperson for Kidderminster Town Council said: “The Courtyard Café is a lovely space in which to meet up so why not drop in next Wednesday? New year, new friends.

“Everyone is welcome.”

The sessions are free but people should note that food and drink consumed in the cafe should be purchased on site.
