CROWDS flocked to the Christmas lights switch-on in Broadwaters Mill Park on Saturday.
There was plenty of festive fun to be had for all ages in the run up to the big countdown.

Among the attractions at the community-focused were Christmas songs from Jack and Doris, Carols from the St Oswalds C of E Primary School and a traditional seasonal singalong.

Of course no Yuletide illumination would be complete without an appearance from Father Christmas and the man in the big red suit delighted those gathered.

A host of festive food and drink was also available, including mulled wine and mince pies, along with tea, coffee and other refreshments.

The switching on of the lights was undertaken by the Mayor of Kidderminster, Coun Doug Hine.

He said: “It was a lovely event and was great to see a fantastic turn-out from the community.
“Plaudits to the Friends of Broadwaters Mill Park for organising the event.
“And with all these festive events, Kidderminster is truly getting into the Christmas spirit.”
