THE ANNUAL tough and muddy multi-terrain run set in the beautiful grounds of Bodenham Arboretum returned on Sunday to the delight of the 106 participants who took to the course.
This is the eighth year the Bodenham Bound took place, offering mud, hills and doughnuts.
The runners tackled challenging hills, winter mud and freezing temperatures and were all rewarded at the finish with a well-earned doughnut.

Runners could choose between a 5km route or a two lap more demanding 10km option.
The event was sponsored by Mason Metals of Brierley Hill which helped make the day possible.

A huge contribution came from 38 volunteer marshals from Wyre Forest Harkaway Scout Group, who gave up their Sunday morning in below-freezing conditions to ensure runners stayed safe and supported throughout the course.
Thanks to the incredible efforts of everyone involved, the event raised £2,000 which will be split between Kemp Hospice Family Support Centre and Wyre Forest Harkaway Scout Group.

Organisers said they would like to extend sincere thanks to all marshals, Mason Metals, Bodenham Arboretum, event photographer Colin Hill and all the runners who took part and supported the cause.
The 5k was won by Steve Hatch with a time of 28mins and 57secs. Robin Fearn was second and Andy Conley was third.

George Kirby won the 10k race in 52mins, 2secs with Ben Laud in second place and Saffi Reid in third.
Planning is already under way for the future, with details being explored for a summer Bodenham Bound in 2027.
The date for the ninth annual Bodenham Bound has also been set for January 3, 2027.
