THERE will be a fun night in store when Carpet Trades Musical Theatre Company brings its ‘Rock of Ages’ show to Kidderminster.
The amps are warming up and the hairspray is ready for the smash-hit jukebox musical which runs at the Rose Theatre from Monday to next Saturday, October 13 to 18.
Performances, which promise audiences an unforgettable blast of 1980s glam rock, take place at 7.30pm each evening. There is also a 2.30pm matinee on the Saturday (October 18).
The production is set on Los Angeles’ famed Sunset Strip and follows aspiring rocker Drew and small-town dreamer Sherrie. The pair chase stardom, love and big hair in a world where the music of Journey, Bon Jovi, Whitesnake and others keeps spirits high.
Those watching can expect powerhouse vocals, outrageous comedy and plenty of air-guitar moments.
Director Alex Thompson could not be prouder of the team’s progress.
He said: “This is more than a musical – it’s a party.
“The cast has poured their hearts into every rehearsal.
“Audiences can expect a night where they’ll laugh, sing along, and maybe even dust off their own air guitars.
“We can’t wait to share that joy with the community.”
Whether people lived through the 1980s or just love a good power ballad, this production promises a feelgood night of big voices, big dreams and even bigger hair.
Tickets are available now through the Rose Theatre Kidderminster box office – online at: rosetheatre.co.uk or by calling 01562 743745.
