ATHLETES from the Kidderminster and Stourport Athletics Club competed in the National Primary School and Year 7 Cross Country Finals at Stoneleigh Park, writes Andres De Miguel.
The event, last month, featured country’s top young runners.
Alex Velasquez came seventh in the year four boys race, Joshua Bevan finsihed 11th in the year five boys race, Ted Bates completed the year six race in 69th and Isobel Rakowski-Goreta was 64th in the year sevens’ girls race.
That same weekend, several of the club’s athletes competed in trials at Stoutport Sports Club for a chance to participate in the London Mini Marathon on April 25.
Alicia Chorostowska and Isabelle McCann, who came second and fourth respectively, both qualified for the Mini Marathon event which takes place the day before the full London Marathon on April 26.
