SEEDS, plants and gardening tools have been donated to schools across Wyre Forest as part of a project that was started during the Covid lockdown.
Seeds For Schools is run by Chris Millington who was inspired by his sons Charlie and Leo.
He said: “They have been my constant light and drive in helping me achieve this.
“I am fully committed to giving every child locally green based opportunities and I believe the seeds for school project can help achieve that.”

Chris also created the ‘Kidderminster Gardens’ group on Facebook which contributes significantly to the project and The Range in Kidderminster currently has a seeds box that collects donations every year.
And Chris launched the ‘Local Gardener Initiative UK’ which he is hoping will help spread the Seeds For School concept further over time.
He has also recently offered a consultancy to Wolverley Sebright School in Kidderminster and hopes to offer these services to others across Wyre Forest in the future.

Chris also works for the Kidderminster BID (Business Improvement District) and hopes to tie in some of his community gardening work with what he is doing in the town centre to promote a positive youth ethos for the town and drive a ‘Kidderminster in Bloom’.
People can currently drop off seeds to the box in The Range in Kidderminster and Chris is also looking for other businesses across Wyre Forest to have donation boxes for the project.
