Kidderminster power cut- Hundreds impacted including medical centre

HUNDREDS of homes are without power in Kidderminster, as well as the towns medical centre.

A fault on the high voltage power lines in the area was reported at around 9.50am this morning.

National Grid are on the scene and are working on the problem, w3ith a spokesperson saying they are getting this sorted as a priority.

In total, 1,044 properties were hit by the power cut, although 605 have since had their power restored.

The power cut has also impacted numerous businesses, as well as Kidderminster Medical Centre on Waterloo Street.

A spokesperson for the medical centre said: “Due to an unexpected power outage, Kidderminster Medical Centre is currently experiencing disruption to services.




“Our phones and computer systems may be unavailable, and appointments may be affected.

“We are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible and will provide updates as soon as we have more information.


“If you require urgent medical assistance, please contact NHS 111 or 999 in an emergency.

“Thank you for your patience and understanding.”
