Kidderminster Remembrance Sunday details announced and Poppy Appeal launched

Tristan Harris 30th Oct, 2025

THIS YEAR’S Poppy Appeal was officially launched in Kidderminster last weekend and details of this year’s Remembrance Sunday Parade have been announced.

The town’s deputy Mayor, Coun Shazu Miah, was at the launch, along with representatives of the Kidderminster Royal British Legion and the local cadets.

Over last weekend, Poppy Appeal volunteers were in the town, collecting for the cause in various shops and supermarkets, including in Aldi and M&S.

Kidderminster’s Remembrance Sunday Parade and Service will take place at the War Memorial at St Mary and All Saints Church, starting around 10.55am next Sunday, November 9.

The parade will muster in New Road Car Park (Bateman’s Yard) at 10.15am and will be leaving at 10.30am prompt.

Local organisations and groups are more than welcome to parade.

Copies of the service sheet for the War Memorial service will be available for all those attending.

Last week, poignant poppy displays were unveiled outside Kidderminster Town Hall.

Kidderminster Town Council said it wanted to thank Coun Nicky Gale, and Past Mayors Kevin Gale and Rose Bishop for the wonderful poppy displays.

It added: “The displays are a proud and fitting tribute for Remembrance, thoughtfully honouring those who gave so much.”
